Since we didn't know what the price of a small cake would be (they don't have the price tags for cakes noted anywhere), we stood in front of the cake section waiting for someone to come and assist us.
Even if someone had simply come and told us they would be with us in a few, that would have been acceptable but nothing. I even saw two employees see us (my wife, myself and my 4yr old) waiting and they quickly went back to whatever they were doing. Ridiculous! We simply walked away.
We went to buy a small bday cake earlier today around 12.00pm. Since it was lunch time, there was a very small crowd for what is a bakery - around 6 people or so - ahead of us.
We stood there for 15 minutes and not one soul came around asking us if we needed help. Around 5 different employees kept taking orders or moving to the kitchen and back, and yet not one of them even had the courtesy to try and assist us.
My coworker came here today to get lunch. She bought two pastelitos and realized that they had mold all over them. When she called the business to get some help, they told her there was no manager and that she couldn't get her money back for the old items. Also the person who picked up the phone said they were only a customer. Makes no sense, at least if you made a mistake try to correct it but it is a shame that she bought lunch and can't eat. Also wasted her lunch time and now she cant eat till later. I am disappointed and disgusted. No reason why you should be selling moldy items. It takes 5 days for bread to start to spoil, that is not okay!!!
They just prepared 2 sandwiches bare handed, no washing before or after.... Unbelievable. Managers response... Yeah, i know... We have gloves back there... She went and told the server, quick and light, she came to charge me, not a single word of apology or acknowledgement of the disgusting behavior. Needless to say..... Not going back.
All the ladies are very nice and attentive and move quickly. Everything looks very clean and nicely decorated. And of course Vicky Bakery is famous for their delicious pastries. Their cakes are beautiful. My first time at this Vicky Bakery . All Vicky bakeries hire good staff.
This was my second time at this bakey- the first was 4 yrs ago. There was a good reason why this was only my second visit in 4 yrs. Apparently some things just don't change.
A must for my sons birthday parties. Their latin appetizers are delicious and packaged so well that you can take them right from the bakery to your table. Those treats are always the first to disappear! The prices are unbeatable as well!
